RAW MILK SCONES
There's not much that beats a scone - super easy and super delicious. The cold pressed raw milk gives the scones an irresistibly fluffy finish.
Ingredients:
Plain flour, for dusting
3 cups self-raising flour
80g butter, chilled and cubed
1-1 1/4 cups Made by Cow Cold Pressed Raw Milk
Jam and cream to serve
Method:
Preheat oven to 200°C. Sift self-raising flour into a large bowl and mix butter into flour with your fingers until the texture resembles breadcrumbs. Make a well in the centre and add 1 cup of Made by Cow Cold Pressed Raw Milk and mix until the mixture becomes a dough, adding more milk if needed. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth (don't knead dough too much or scones will be tough).
Lightly dust a flat baking tray with plain flour. Pat dough into a 2cm-thick round and cut into 12 rounds using a 5cm round cutter. Repeat process until all mixture is used. Place scones onto prepared baking tray and bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden and well risen. Serve warm with jam and cream.
